THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join a prominent manufacturing business within the aerospace sector on a contract basis. You will be joining the business to support a project of work which includes the complete redesign, partial redesign and legacy drawing update of a range of custom designed tools and fixtures to support an effective manufacturing operation.
You will need to demonstrate strong 2D draughting and 3D modelling skills and be able to take old data to bring it up to modern standards.
DUTIES
Design of components and tooling used in the manufacturing process.
Producing 3D models and 2D drawings using Siemens NX.
Draughting and modelling activities.
Complete and partial redesign activities.
Upgrading legacy drawings to modern standards.
Analysing archived data and developing new tooling solutions to support assembly departments.
BACKGROUND
HNC, HND or degree in Engineering.
Tooling design experience.
Strong 2D and 3D design experience.
Siemens NX experience preferred.
Analytical mindset to work on legacy drawings.
