My client is looking for a highly skilled and service minded Service Engineer to strengthen their presence in UK and Ireland. They are ideally looking for an engineer with superior technical understanding in automated, electromechanical, material handling & logistics solutions to include palletising systems. You will be multiskilled with knowledge of PLCs fault finding as a minimum and have a proven service, customer facing background. Service Engineer role: Reporting the European Service Manager and working closely with the UK Sales Engineer, the succesful Service Engineer will be home based covering the UK and Ireland. Be responsible for giving technical advice to make sure the service contracts requirements are met. To engage and interpret customer s needs to architect and design technical solutions to meet their objectives. Present solutions to engineers, business owners and other stakeholders. Complete technical inspections of material handling / palletising systems. Discuss recommendations to maintain installations in a perfect condition. Arrange maintenance with customers liaising with HQ and relevant subcontractors. Plan and organise daily workload to meet expected targets and deadlines. Build and promote strong relationships with new and existing customers. Service Engineer requirement: Educated to HNC or equivalent in a relevant electrical / mechanical qualification. Proven field service / customer facing experience. Previous experience with one or more of the following - automated palletising, material handling, process, packaging, conveyor, sortation machinery. Previous experience of sales process & understanding customer needs. Excellent communication skills. Great time management skills. Service Engineer package: Salary base of GBP46k - (OTE GBP50k+) Overtime Mobile phone Company car Pension scheme: 3% employer 5% employee 23 days holiday + bank hols
