Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and driven Technical Sales Engineer / Manager to join our customer s growing team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong sales acumen to provide tailored solutions to their clients, primarily in the automotive, motorsport, and aerospace industries. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work remotely and on-site, with occasional travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events. Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact for technical and commercial discussions. Proven experience managing client relationships and resolving technical and commercial queries effectively. Sales and Quoting: Prepare and present competitive, detailed, and accurate quotes based on customer requirements and project scope. Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring profitability and alignment with company objectives. Meetings and Events: Represent the company at client meetings, site visits, and industry events such as trade shows and conferences. Deliver engaging technical presentations to showcase the company's capabilities and offerings. Technical Expertise: Provide technical advice and support to customers, leveraging a strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes (can be taught). Collaborate with internal engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with customer expectations. Market Insight and Strategy: Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activity within the composite manufacturing and associated industries. Identify new business opportunities and contribute to strategic sales planning. Key Requirements Essential Skills and Experience: Customer-Facing Skills:

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders. Proven experience managing client relationships and resolving technical and commercial queries effectively.

Sales Expertise:

Demonstrable track record in technical sales, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering context. Experience in prospecting, quoting, negotiating, and closing deals.

Technical Acumen:

Background in technical fields, with a strong understanding of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and applications. Ability to translate technical concepts into commercially viable solutions for customers.

Event Participation:

Experience representing a company at trade shows, conferences, or customer meetings, including delivering presentations and networking with industry professionals.

Highly Desirable: Previous experience in composites manufacturing or related industries (e.g., automotive, motorsport, aerospace).
