Civil Engineer (Drainage) Location: Harrogate Salary: Up to £45,000 REF: S0 48 Based in Harrogate, my client is a leading and successful UK based Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Civil and Structural Engineering. I am actively seeking a talent and experienced Civil Engineer to join their busy team and have the opportunity to participate in a range of projects by playing a key role in delivering high-quality drainage solutions for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. These projects can range from residential, commercial, and industrial developments. To be considered for this Civil Engineering role, it is essential for the candidate to have the following: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related qualification. * 3-4 years of experience in drainage design and water management. * Proficiency in software such as MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD. * Strong knowledge of UK drainage regulations, including SuDS and Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB). * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities for this Civil Engineering role include: * Design and develop surface water and foul drainage systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. * Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software such as MicroDrainage and Civil 3D. * Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather data for drainage design. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and planners, to deliver integrated project solutions. * Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, including SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) and local authority standards. * Prepare and review drainage strategy reports and flood risk assessments. * Provide technical support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs and attending site meetings. * Salary and benefits: This Civil Engineering position comes with a competitive based salary depending on experience and knowledge.
