My client is a well-established, privately owned specialist Civil Engineering contractor that has undergone a successful growth period and has become a leading player in the market. To continue this growth, they are looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to become a key part of their delivery team. Primary Roles and Responsibilities: Set the highest possible leadership standards in promoting HSEQ procedures and best practices. Prepare and update detailed work programmes and communicate them with the site teams and head office to ensure they can be delivered promptly. Ensure that weekly reviews of safety, progress, budgets, and planning are completed with the site teams. Liaise with Directors, Safety Advisors, Quantity Surveyors and Engineers to ensure clear communication and achievement of project deliverables. Identify and fulfil resource requirements, focus on business priorities, and stay within budget. Identify procurement and material requirements, ensuring they are procured per company policies and procedures. Provide clear communication, direct management support and reviews to teams under management. Chair and attend internal and external pre-start, construction, commercial, engineering and HSEQT meetings as required. Build positive relationships with clients’ delivery, management and leadership teams. Essential Competence & Training: SMSTS NVQ Level 6 Diploma CSCS Black Card Appreciation of NHBC, LABC & equivalent standards Relevant sector experience in a similar role Good time management skills Good interpersonal skills at all levels of an organisation Collaborative approach to working IT literate and a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft programmes, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook Desirable Competence & Training: Experience operating within a similar role NVQ Level 7 Diploma in Senior Site Management Application of Microsoft Project This is an excellent opportunity for an expanding business.
