We are looking to speak to any individuals who can spare an hour a week to phone 2 or 3 older people in the Welwyn Garden City area. As a Telephone Befriender, you can enjoy a regular friendly chat on the phone with older people each week. You will be matched with an older person, providing friendship and sharing news, views, and interests. This is a very rewarding role that can be fitted around anyone who is working full time or part time. Training and support are provided to all our volunteers. All volunteers must be over the age of 18 and are recruited subject to references and a clear enhanced DBS. Training will be provided. What volunteers need:
