Cook Supervisor, Sgoil Lionacleit 37 hours per week, term time, temporary post £26,138 - £28,572 per annum, inclusive of £2,369 Distant Islands Allowance per annum The post holder will be required, on a temporary basis, to provide quality catering service to all customers. Duties will include supervision of kitchen/dining room staff, preparation, cooking, garnishing and serving of food, ordering and storage of commodities, adhering to budget and menu plans, and ensuring all staff are trained and records maintained. You must have knowledge of Current Food Legislation, a good understanding of a well-balanced nutritious diet, and possess good written and numeracy skills. You must hold a current Food Hygiene Qualification and a relevant qualification in cooking. Previous experience in a similar post and practical cooking experience in a large scale catering environment, producing 50+ meals a day, are essential. This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children. Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
