We are looking for a pre-school room leader to join our nursery in Swaythling. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the room, maintaining top staff performance, having excellent communication skills, and keeping your staff and children motivated and enthusiastic. Roles and Responsibilities of a Room Leader: The core requirements for the job role are: Understand and have a good knowledge of the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, the Inspection Handbook, Ofsted, and Local Authority requirements. Ensure that all statutory guidance is adhered to. Ensure that the setting is a safe environment for children, staff, and others. Develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development. Lead and work as part of a team, where all members are valued under the supervision of the setting manager and deputy manager to ensure the safe and effective day-to-day running of the room. Be a positive influence, motivator, and ambassador for Paint Pots in all situations, promoting our values. Work in close collaboration with the manager, deputy manager, setting SENDCo, and the wider support team and outside agencies to ensure the continuing development and high standards of care and education in the setting. Be responsible for the maintenance of records and the assessment and recording of development, progress, and attainment for every child including 2-year progress checks, where appropriate.
