Global Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager

is a key role that's responsible for our global SRE team, and SRE as a practice. Qoria is establishing an SRE presence in the UK, and this is a rare opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to grow SRE with autonomy in a rapidly expanding technology organisation. Our products support 7 million parents and 30,000 schools in their efforts to keep 25 million children safe. Underpinning this, our systems serve millions of requests/minute and ingest many TBs of data/day. The global SRE team operates this landscape with best-in-class availability, and a service-level that exceeds customer expectations. Here's how you'll do it: Manage, mentor and grow a global team of Site Reliability Engineers Shape and execute the SRE strategy, evolving the capability globally to serve our customers Deliver projects with a focus on automation, toil reduction, self-service, and education Own and improve the end-to-end reliability and availability of key products and services, building automation to prevent or mitigate problem recurrence Manage and participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations across continents, and the retrospective incident management process Foster a culture of collaboration within SRE, the broader engineering organisation and adjacent functions (eg customer support) Evolve the engineering platform for Qoria engineers by applying product management principles

What will you bring? Minimum qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline 3+ years of experience leading and managing teams (distributed teams a bonus) 2+ years of experience designing, analysing, and troubleshooting distributed systems A background in Site Reliability Engineering Strong cloud hosting knowledge (GCP preferred) Preferred qualifications: Experience with Kubernetes and serverless Infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred) Why choose Smoothwall by Qoria: In this role, you can expect: Employee Share Scheme Tech Allowance Learning Allowance...and much more!
