Maintenance Engineer - County Armagh
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of plant machinery and equipment to ensure minimal downtime and smooth operations. You will work closely with other departments to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and suggest improvements for operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to diagnose issues. Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce machinery downtime. Maintain records of repairs and maintenance schedules. Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment is operating efficiently. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Recommend improvements for operational performance and cost efficiency. Assist in equipment installations and upgrades. Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely manner.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Relevant certification or degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with health and safety standards and practices.
