You will join a highly supportive team of Engineers and Project Managers in: Contributing to the delivery of effective flood risk management mitigation plans and measures, through strong and effective contract management, performance appraisal, and development and training. Assisting in promoting and developing the Business Unit’s contribution to the Council’s corporate objectives, through contribution to strategy and policy development and delivery. Assisting with flood incident reviews and investigations in accordance with the Local Flood Risk Management Strategy. Assisting in project and programme management and supervision, to ensure delivery of the North Yorkshire Elements of the Regional Flood and Coastal Committee programme. Assisting with assessing the flood risk management aspects of planning applications and the preparation of Lead Local Flood Authority responses on planning applications. Some evening and weekend working may be required. What you will bring This is a career graded role, so if you hold or are motivated to undertake a qualification in Flood Risk Management or a similar technical discipline, or whether you are working towards or have achieved an HNC/HND and have extensive flood risk management related experience, we would love to hear from you.
