We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supplier Governance and Planning Lead to join the IT Supplier Management and Oversight (SMO) Department. Aviva has a shared services model across the group, and these services are substantially delivered by third party suppliers. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring these supplier services are appropriately overseen and remain compliant with standards and controls.
A bit about the job:
The suitable person for this role will be responsible for driving high quality supplier governance for in excess of 100 critical suppliers. This will be done through effective team leadership, senior stakeholder management, and robust risk and control management. You will also proactively identify and deliver process improvements and use strategic insight across the supplier base to create and maintain credible business plans and reporting for the whole of the IT supplier management and oversight department. In addition, you will be responsible for running effective senior internal governance boards.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
Experience in a supplier governance, supplier management, or risk management role. Strong understanding of IT risk and control best practices and awareness of financial services regulations. A leader with a reputation for building high-performing teams, who is able to effectively influence and build relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organisation. Excellent presentation and analytical skills. A strategic thinker and self-starter with a reputation for taking the initiative to get things done.

Starting
salary
circa £65,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications). Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's. Generous
