You will be a Defined Benefit Pensions Specialist who has progressed through the Pension Administrator route to your current level where you now possess a very strong technical knowledge and desire to progress more in this area whilst also dealing with complex pensions administration work. Your exciting next career move will be to assist the Technical Services team providing support to a wide variety of projects with a particular focus on technical pensions issues within these projects, as well as assisting with complex member casework, complaints handling, and supporting the core Member Services’ teams. How would you like to:

Provide technical support for bulk project work, including data analysis, individual and bulk calculations, and system updates. Carry out calculations, validating data, and supporting the core Member Services teams with high value or technically complex cases. Support pension administration system amendments to calculations and background data tables as required. Develop/maintain calculations used to test the system and run calculations that the system is not able to process. Support the ongoing monitoring of the strength of operational and system controls to reduce risk to the Scheme. Work closely with the internal Legal team, keep up to date with relevant legislation and regulations, assisting in disseminating the information to the wider team. Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of team specific processes including system specifications, data, Scheme rules, and procedures. Ensure compliance with Data Protection/Health and Safety/Quality Management processes and procedures. There may also be other ad hoc tasks you are called upon to undertake, providing plenty of variety and opportunity to enhance your already strong administration and technical skills in pensions. You will be someone who enjoys communicating and interacting at all levels within the organisation, is very organised, focused, numerical, analytical, and can problem solve. You will have up-to-date pensions/employer legislation knowledge including HMRC rules and regulations.
