You will be paid hourly commensurate on experience. Full company benefits after 3 months. Company Phone will be provided. Job Responsibilities / Duties: Installation and maintenance of hardware and software in the office as well as on-site/field. Respond to service calls for site/field computer hardware and software problems. Complete work orders and other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Maintain computers in field sites and troubleshoot hardware and software problems. Implement and ensure proper backup and recovery for field site. Respond to calls for office IT support and assist the Network Administrator in ensuring the network and office computers are running smoothly. Set-up and installation of computers for new sites. Implement and ensure proper backup and recovery for office computers/servers. May train people to use the organization’s computer system or organize outside training programs, particularly for new software. Flexibility in working hours is a requirement. The successful candidate will also be on-call. Mandatory Qualifications: Good networking knowledge as well as solid computer hardware and software knowledge. Good problem-solving skills, time-management skills and the ability to work well on their own or as part of a team. Good oral and written communication skills, listening skills and the ability to understand and explain technical language. Flexible, patient, diplomatic, tactful and with high level of integrity. Dependable, hardworking and willing and able to work after normal working hours. Valid Ontario driver’s license, familiar with driving downtown Toronto an asset. Must have a clean Driver’s abstract. Criminal and Credit clearance required. Mandatory Skills: Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems. Excellent technical communication skills: ability to explain complex solutions and processes clearly to others. Collaborative and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills. Self-managed while accurately following instructions. Ability to multitask effectively and stay positive and professional under high-pressure fast-paced environments.
