South Wales , who are seeking a

Network Analyst

to provide ongoing support to the Trust’s Network systems on a permanent basis. This is a full-time position working on-site for the initial probation period. The post holder will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining complex, resilient Wi-Fi, LAN, and relevant WAN infrastructures to support the Trust. This will comprise data communication systems across the constituent parts of service provision. They will also be responsible for maintaining network integrity by applying secure solutions within the broader Health and Social Care environment. Main duties of the job: The post holder will assist the team in providing timely provision of network and security-based technology to be adopted within the Health Board, supported by an awareness of new technology and solutions available within NHS Wales and the IT sector as a whole. The post holder will work with other sections of the ICT Department, other Health Boards, and National Teams. The post holder will be involved in the installation, system configuration, monitoring, and incident management related work, utilising technical qualifications/skills, knowledge, and experience. Ensure their own knowledge of network and security systems is underpinned by both theoretical knowledge, acquired through appropriate training and research, such as specialist vendor training; and practical experience in networking support. Support the ICT Network Services Team Leader in the management and maintenance of networking and security systems, including testing, installation, commissioning, and replacement. Monitor the network infrastructure on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that all errors, breaches, and alerts are identified and addressed. Identify and evaluate areas which will benefit from improvement. Be required to work daily with minimal supervision. You may be required at times to work outside of standard working hours. You could also be expected to join on an ongoing basis an out of hours on-call escalation rota.
