The successful National Account Manager will be responsible for: Developing strategic customer accounts at a regional and national level. Creating and managing a new business pipeline. Nurturing and growing a number of existing accounts to their full potential.
Working closely with key departments such as Supply Chain, Finance, and Business Support, you will find innovative solutions that meet customer needs while enabling the business to operate in the most profitable and efficient way.
Balancing the daily demands with one eye on the future, you will develop long-term business plans with your customers and keep your focus on retaining our national partnerships for years to come.
It's a demanding but hugely rewarding role; no two days are the same as you have the autonomy to manage your own diary. You will be home-based, but you will need to own a full driving license and be comfortable with traveling as you collaborate with your customers and colleagues across the country.
Required skills and experience of a National Account Manager: Previous sales experience, preferably within foodservice. Sales-focused with a track record of delivering against targets, with experience managing accounts at a national level. Good understanding of margin-oriented targets. Highly organized with effective time management skills. Assured and professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Driven and motivated by targets, with personal resilience to work well under pressure. Knowledge of commercial incentives in the sector and experience dealing with high-level negotiations. Experience in pricing up business and completing tenders. Accountability in maintaining effective communication with clients, handling complaints, and finding solutions when required. Ability to present to an audience. Team player. Computer literacy. Great planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills. Positive, friendly, and can-do attitude. Confidence and assertiveness to achieve goals respectfully and positively.
The successful National Account Manager will be rewarded with a basic salary of up to £47,000, a car allowance of £7,100, an uncapped OTE/bonus, contributory pension, plus many more company benefits.
