Our Route The North West route runs from Cheshire in the south to Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and Cumbria in the North, with the two Northern Powerhouse cities of Liverpool and Manchester on the route, as well as the tourist destinations of Blackpool and the Lake District. Major stations across the route include Crewe, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly. We’re a very busy region, with 1.3 million passengers travelling on our rails every weekday, and 700,000 tonnes of freight moved a week. With 571 stations in the North West & Central region, we make up a quarter of Britain's railway system. Brief Description What will you be doing? Lead and direct system and database management processes within the delivery unit. Provide direction and support on the use of the systems and databases and all aspects of asset data management to provide accurate and current data quality and systems management. Every day will be different, but you can expect to be involved in the following activities: Manage, coordinate and validate the upgrade, update, maintenance and utilisation of all systems and databases within the delivery unit. Provide direction and support including briefings on the use of systems and databases within the delivery unit. Manage the collation of information from the delivery unit team and third parties such that systems and databases are updated to provide accurate information at all times. Manage data quality within systems and databases to meet corporate requirements. Manage the integrated risk management process. Maintain and update the Active Risk Manager Database. Resolve issues that adversely affect the effective performance of systems and databases. Monitor, audit and report on the accuracy, receipt and updating of data. Provide information to support delivery of business plans and improvement initiatives and project works. Provide analysis and management reports as required to support maintenance delivery. Make recommendations where management action is required. Accurately update systems, databases and records as required including the Hazard Directory. In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have/to be: Good knowledge of maintenance systems and databases Good analytical skills Good interpersonal, communication and organisation skills We would also like but it isn't crucial to have/to be: Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes and techniques Knowledge of coaching techniques Company
