THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for a Systems Proving Engineer to support the Integration and Systems Validation team in the Air Defence domain. This role involves planning and executing system trials, ensuring that systems meet integration, proving, and design standards. You’ll manage lab and field tests, perform diagnostics, and maintain configuration control for essential defence projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Trial Planning & Execution: Plan, conduct, and document system and subsystem trials, including environmental, electrical, and software proving tests. Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyse trials data, produce post-trial reports, and address design issues. System Testing: Perform functional proving activities, diagnostics, and BIT/pass-out tests using specialized equipment. Lab & Equipment Management: Oversee lab safety, manage calibrated equipment, maintain hardware/software configuration, and support risk assessments and audits. SKILLS: Background in system integration, design proving, trials, and design verification. Familiarity with BIT testing, SAP for non-conformance tracking, and lab management. Proficient in diagnostics with tools like oscilloscopes, DMM, and Special To Type Test Equipment (SSTE).
