As a Data Engineer with Qodea, you'll be involved in projects to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that enable the efficient processing and analysis of large, complex data sets.

You'd join a highly collaborative, creative and supportive team working to deliver solutions that surpass our customers' expectations, enabling them to utilize cutting-edge tools and technologies to derive value and insights from their data.

We're a dedicated Google Cloud Partner, which means that you'd be working on projects involving GCP services. Previous experience of GCP is not essential, but we'd expect you to have experience of one of the major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP).

This would be a primarily remote-based role, but if you live close to one of our offices and you'd prefer some office work then that's fine too.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain automated data processing pipelines using Google Cloud: Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to support data ingestion, ETL, and storage Build and maintain automated data pipelines to monitor data quality and troubleshoot issues

Implement and maintain databases and data storage solutions: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in big data and data engineering Ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness

Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and accuracy: Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to design and optimize data models for analytical and reporting purposes Develop and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting Monitor and maintain data infrastructure to ensure availability and performance

Requirements: Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL tools such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Apache Airflow Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python (ideally), Java, or Scala Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment Desirable Skills: Ideally certified in Google Cloud (Professional level) or one of the other major cloud providers Location: We have offices in London, Swindon, Manchester and Edinburgh. There is no mandatory office working expectation, but you'd be welcome to work from any of these offices as often as you like. There might be occasional meetings or workshops at our office locations or at customer sites, but these are not regular occurrences.
