THE ROLE:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our client who is a successful and well-respected multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Yorkshire. This role can be hybrid if required, working a 37.5 hour week.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: Minimum 5 years experience working as a Building Surveyor Confident and concise communication skills both verbally and in writing. Full and detailed knowledge/understanding of both traditional and modern construction techniques. Ability to interpret and apply legislation and technical standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent client management and presentation skills. Good knowledge of building regulations and construction contracts. Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines. Ideally Chartered Status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or working towards Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle with business insurance. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: Leadership role overseeing a team of Building Surveyors. Engaging in the delivery of Building Surveying services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Undertake a full range of project and professional duties working for both private and public sector clients. Ensure reported data is accurate and kept up to date. Assist with procurement and management of sub-contractors. Ensure compliance with all aspects of the contract, liaise with the project teams on project status. Guarantee the financial success and quality delivery of construction projects through effective cost management, procurement, contract administration, risk management, and value engineering.
