Assessing and providing intervention for a caseload of children with SEN, Hearing impairment, and Autism. Work will be predominantly in school settings with regular touch in with other colleagues at our base. To write programmes of interventions for home and school To contribute to any EHCPs for children on caseload To support band 5 therapists within the team To support the Team lead with the effective running of the team To be a key member of the team working with children with hearing impairments To undertake regular CPD and in particular continue to develop expertise in the areas of hearing impairment and represent the department at regional and national HI meetings/training and feedback in department CPD. Qualifications
Speech and Language Therapy degree HCPC registered Knowledge
Knowledge of developmental milestones for children aged 2-18 years Knowledge in using a range of formal and informal Speech and Language assessments Knowledge of strategies that can be recommended to parents to support their child's speech and language needs at home Experience
Experience working with children with developmental Speech and Language difficulties Experience working with preschool and school-aged children clinic, home, and in mainstream and special school settings Disclosure and Barring Service Check
