Band 8a Emergency Department Pharmacist - South East London Full-Time Opportunity in South East London available from January 2025! Our client, a large acute NHS trust in South East London, is currently recruiting for a full-time locum Emergency Department Pharmacist to join their team as soon as possible (January 2025 start). This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pharmacist to work in an ED based setting, providing essential clinical pharmacy support across the department. Key Details: Position: Locum 8a Emergency Department Pharmacist Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (with a 60-minute lunch break). MON-FRI ideal, but they may consider part time. Location: South East London Parking: Onsite parking available Emergency Department based Pay Rate: £34 - £39 per hour (via PAYE Direct Engagement) Contract length: Up to 6 months As an ED Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients in critical and urgent care situations. Your role will involve ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and optimizing therapeutic outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Review and dispense medications in the Emergency Department. Provide medication counselling and advice to healthcare staff and patients. Ensure the safe use of high-risk medications and prevent drug interactions. Assist in emergency drug protocols and support the management of acute medical conditions. Maintain accurate medication records and ensure proper inventory management. Participate in clinical decision-making and provide support during emergencies.
