What you will do: Offer advice, information, advocacy, and support to individuals seeking assistance with substance misuse. Provide a diverse range of interventions based on the unique needs of the service and the people who seek its help. Case manage identified service users with substance misuse challenges, keeping them well-informed about the variety of services and support options available to them. Help them make informed choices about their recovery journeys. Work collaboratively with service users to develop realistic and achievable recovery plans, ensuring that they have access to psychosocial interventions and both internal and external support mechanisms. Requirements of a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker: Recent experience in areas such as Substance Misuse, Substance Abuse, Addiction, Drug and Alcohol Recovery, Needle Exchange, or other related specialties. Relevant qualifications or certifications are necessary to support your expertise and enhance your effectiveness in the role. Confidence in your skills and knowledge is essential.
