We have a vacancy for a part-time secretary for up to 24 hours per week, plus cover for annual leave and sickness within the team. This is a busy and varied role and requires an individual with previous secretarial experience, strong IT skills, and excellent time management and organizational skills. Main duties of the job

Typing letters, reports, and associated documentation Processing referrals using the electronic referrals system (ERS) Liaising with external agencies such as hospitals and community services, ensuring referrals are processed efficiently Scanning documentation and inputting data into the electronic system Managing all enquiries in an effective manner Processing requests for information Answering and managing incoming phone calls Attending meetings and recording the minutes of meetings About us

We are a GP practice with two sites: The Chiltern Surgery in Watlington and The Brook Surgery in Chalgrove. The practice team works in an environment that is welcoming, caring, and accessible for all patients and strives to provide effective, efficient, and safe healthcare services for patients. Job responsibilities

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers in accordance with current policies, including the use of the electronic referral service (ERS). Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English - Grade C or above Skills

Strong communication skills - written and oral Excellent organizational and time management skills Good team working skills Strong interpersonal skills Good analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy Experience

Working with the general public Secretarial experience Experience of administrative duties and managing a busy workload Experience of working as a medical secretary or experience of working in an administrative role in an NHS setting Disclosure and Barring Service Check
