The Role of the Enhanced Health Care Support Worker is to assist and support the Admiral Nurses and Dementia Team in ensuring optimal care for our patients living with Dementia. The delivery of high quality, effective and compassionate health care to the patients of the Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust is the most important objective for the organisation. The role will involve providing enhanced care support to those who require social interaction, support with the activities of daily living and support those with enhanced care needs. Main duties of the job

To support the Dementia Team in the delivery of care for our patients as part of a 7 day service: Providing effective enhanced care for our patients living with Dementia. Using extensive experience in supporting those with a Dementia diagnosis and ensuring their needs are met. Working closely with the Multidisciplinary Team. Completing the Band 3 competency framework within the identified time scale. Following the successful completion of the Band 3 competency framework, ensuring that they act within their sphere of competence at all times and be confident and accountable for their actions. Demonstrating analytical and judgemental skills. About us

Training & Qualifications

NVQ level 2 or equivalent or above in Health or Health and Social Care or working towards an award. NVQ level 3 or equivalent or above in Health or Health and Social Care or working towards an award. Experience & Knowledge

Previous experience in a Health/Health and Social Care role. Extensive experience in caring for those living with Dementia. Previous NHS experience. Skills & Ability

Good written and verbal communication in the English language. Able to work without direct supervision. Other Specific Requirements

Good interpersonal and IT skills. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
