Work within the Pre-Operative Assessment setting and the Surgical Wards footprint, providing high quality, caring, compassionate and personal care to patients and their families/carers. Work under the direction of the Registered Healthcare professionals and senior colleagues, both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Under the direction of a Registered Health Care Professional ensure a high standard of service provision within Pre-Op Assessment, by practicing effective clinical and administrative investigations and ICP preparation, effective communication and care delivery, prioritising workload appropriately and contributing to service improvements. Developing competencies that safeguard practice and effectiveness in the role. Act at all times in a manner, which illustrates respect for privacy, dignity, equality, diversity and confidentiality. Exhibit professional behaviour and attitude at all times and demonstrate excellent customer care skills. Contribute to effective team working by being fully involved, committed and participating, to achieving own and others full potential. Education and Qualifications
Completed the National Care Certificate, or must complete it within 3 months. Functional Skills Minimum Level 2 Maths and English or GCSE equivalent or working towards. Working towards or prepared to work towards obtaining a level 3 Apprenticeship in Clinical Healthcare. Knowledge
