Personal Qualities The successful candidate will have excellent all-round communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and caring approach. The successful candidate should have good I.T. skills and hold a clean driving license.

Responsibilities

Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by GPs.

Chronic Disease Management: COPD, Asthma, Diabetes, Stroke, Hypertension, CKD, R/A and Coronary Heart Disease.

Childhood and Routine immunisations.

Undertake home visits.

Cytology.

Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Dementia and CVD risk/reviews.

ECGs.

Contraception (Pill checks, repeat Depo Provera injections).

Venepuncture.

Requesting pathology tests.

Strict adherence to agreed clinical and administrative protocols.

Maintaining a high level of cleanliness of equipment and own clinical space.

Maintaining clinical records with a high degree of accuracy and clarity (clinical system is Emis Web).

Attend and participate in Practice meetings as required.

Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post.

We look after our team members to enable them to look after the business and ultimately the patients. Our people are subject matter experts in their field. We have a core staff of around 65 permanent staff and we manage 12 ad hoc staff from various outside organisations such as primary care network, including locum doctors, nurses and allied medical staff.

Job Responsibilities The core job is Immunisations, smear and chronic disease management. You must be competent in these areas; we can train you in the rest.

Person Specification Qualifications

NMC, registered nurse who is qualified to do smear and immunisation.
