Join our Children and Young People's Mental Health (CYPMH) team as a Triage and Assessment Practitioner in South Cumbria, transforming children and young people's mental health. We're seeking a Triage and Assessment Practitioner to pioneer a role in our new CYPMH access hub. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality assessments, clinical interventions, and leading clinical governance and quality improvement. With your help, we're delivering a new integrated Thrive model, which will revolutionise the CYPMH service and transform young lives. Main Duties of the Job

Your Role: Deliver high-quality, timely, and accessible assessments, manage a clinical caseload, and provide brief clinical interventions. Contribute to high-quality service delivery, ensuring responsive and personalised care. Provide and receive clinical supervision, enhancing service quality. Engage in partnership building, quality improvement, and clinical governance. Work alongside our expert Team Leaders, Service Integration Managers, and Senior Clinical Leads. Qualifications

First level qualification, Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Child) or Qualified Social Worker or Occupational Therapist. Information technology skills sufficient to the undertaking of the post. Knowledge

An ability to think systemically and holistically. Demonstrable knowledge and skills in evidence-based needs-led assessments of highly complex and co-morbid presentations of children, young people, their families and carers. Demonstrable knowledge and skills in evidence-based therapeutic interventions relevant to the needs of this client group. Demonstrable ability to communicate to clients, their families and professionals sensitive and often difficult to receive information, using various methods including verbal, non-verbal, written and presentation skills. Experience

A minimum of 12 months experience of working within Children and Young People's Mental Health. Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Child Mental Health. Evidence of an ability to effectively manage own workload and work autonomously. Experience working within a team and/or multi-agency arenas. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
