Role Overview:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify pupils' speech, language, and communication needs. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with SEN staff. Provide 1:1 and small group support to help students improve their communication skills. Monitor, report, and adjust therapy plans based on students' progress and evolving needs. Collaborate closely with the SENDCO and other staff to ensure seamless support for all pupils. Engage with parents and carers to provide guidance and training on supporting communication development at home.
Ideal Candidate:
Fully qualified in Speech and Language Therapy. Strong understanding of SEN and proven experience working with children in an educational setting. A flexible and student-focused approach to promoting wellbeing and development. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Makaton is highly desirable.
