Phoenix Health Group Tetbury An exciting opportunity has arisen at our established and busy Tetbury Practice for a Patient Care Adviser to join our team at the Phoenix Health Group. Innovative and progressive with surgeries across Cirencester, Tetbury, South Cerney, Kemble and the RAU, we focus on providing excellent personal care and a holistic approach to medical practice. The Patient Care Team provides: A professional, positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone, and offers general assistance to the wider Practice team. Administrative support, making an important contribution to the overall work of the Practice. Main duties of the job

Patient Care Adviser Manager Job Summary: The purpose of the role is to offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone, at Phoenix Health Group which includes Cirencester, Tetbury and South Cerney. Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice team. Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies. Duties and Responsibilities: Opening up/locking-up of Practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with Practice protocols. Maintaining and monitoring the Practice appointments system. Processing telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional. Taking messages and passing on information. Filing and retrieving paperwork. Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with Practice guidelines. Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with Practice procedures. Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members, and associated healthcare agencies and providers. Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms as required. Providing clerical assistance, including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanning. Provision of refreshments for staff and visitors as required; loading and emptying the dishwasher and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy. Keeping the area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions and clutter. Flexibility to work additional hours to cover colleagues is essential. Confidentiality:

Qualifications

Good standard of education including qualification in English & Maths (GCSE Grade A-C/9-4 or equivalent). European Computer Driving License (ECDL) Level 2 (or equivalent). Experience

Competent user of Microsoft Office software. Experience of dealing with the public/patients. Working in a public reception environment. Experience of telephone switchboard operation. Experience of Medical clinical software system. Knowledge and skills

Excellent keyboard and computer skills. Excellent communication skills, written and oral with the ability to communicate confidently. Excellent interpersonal skills. Previous experience of working within a Primary Care/Health Sector Service. Qualities & Attributes & Other
