Personal Care Assistant for a person 20 hr/wk@ £11.44/hr in Nelson - FTE - £22.3k - Nelson - BB9 We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the Barrowford area. The role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client who has Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy to lead an individual and independent lifestyle within their own home and the community. Our client has varied interests but particularly enjoys Sci-fi & Marvel films, going to the cinema, music, & good conversation. While care experience is an advantage, the ideal person for this role will have similar interests and be able to provide companionship to the client.

You will be working as part of a small team which will be on a 2:1 basis.

Your contracted hours will be:

20 hours per week which will be primarily Monday - Friday but there may be occasional weekend working required.

In return Salvere Support offers: A rate of pay of £11.77 per hour

A DBS paid for by us. Full induction and ongoing support Bespoke clinical training sessions Additional pay for each online training course completed Overtime opportunities Pension Contributions All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.

Who we are looking for: You must be self-motivated, well-organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:

Domestic duties (Laundry, cleaning, and cooking nutritious meals and general tidying). Monitoring of general health and well-being, and daily record keeping. Providing companionship, and accompanying clients out in the community. Personal care & Moving and handling tasks, and general care experience (desirable). You should also have: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness. Please apply through indeed to be considered for this role.
