Highcliffe St Mark Primary School is looking for a teaching assistant to support in year 1. The successful candidate will join a highly committed and supportive staff team where the children are happy, confident and motivated.
We have a part-time vacancy, (5 mornings, 2 afternoons and 3 lunch duties), totaling approximately 23.84 hours per week, but could offer full-time hours for the right candidate. Term time only, plus some inset days.
Successful candidates should:
Have experience of working in Primary Schools
Be committed to relational practice, knowing that strong relationships are the key to good behaviour
Be passionate about children’s learning and their social, emotional development
Enjoy working as part of an enthusiastic team
Have high standards for themselves and for their children
The rate of pay for a teaching assistant is Grade 3 or Grade 5, depending on experience.
Although no qualifications are required, appropriate qualifications and/or experience of working with primary aged children would be an advantage. We do however, welcome applications from those who are able to demonstrate a passion and enthusiasm for working with children. We are willing and able to provide both internal and external training to the right person.
