An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join The Oaks Medical Centre based in Hull. We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and dynamic Primary Care team. Hours/days to be agreed. Main duties of the job

Oaks Medical Centre is a well-established and friendly General Practice. We have four GP partners, two part-time nurses, and one HCA. We are committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to our patient population of 8000. Our team is dedicated to continuous improvement and professional development, ensuring that we deliver the best possible care to our patients. Job responsibilities

Conduct chronic disease management clinics, including diabetes, asthma, COPD, and hypertension. Perform cervical cytology (smear tests) and provide sexual health advice. Administer vaccinations and immunisations, including childhood and travel vaccines. Provide wound care, including dressings and suture removal. Conduct health checks and screenings. Manage minor illnesses and injuries, providing treatment and advice. Provide lifestyle advice, including smoking cessation, weight management, and dietary advice. Support patients in managing their long-term conditions through education and self-care advice. Person Specification

Experience

Registered Nurse RN with current NMC registration. Competence in chronic disease management, wound care, and immunisations. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in a General Practice or primary care setting is desirable. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
