SF Recruitment are working with a business based in Redditch who are looking for a Commercial / Contracts Manager to join the team. Office based £50,000 - £70,000 DoE + Bonus

We are seeking a skilled Commercial/Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in managing contracts, optimising financial outcomes, and supporting our growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management: Manage all large contracts, ensuring compliance with NEC3 contracts and other relevant contractual frameworks. Oversee contract milestones, billing schedules, and payment terms to ensure timely and accurate invoicing. Negotiate, review, and draft contracts, amendments, and variations to safeguard the company's interests. Financial Oversight: Analyse and manage profit margins, costings, and financial forecasts. Monitor and report on project P&L statements and balance sheet performance. Ensure alignment of financial performance with project objectives and company goals. NEC3 Contract Expertise: Provide expert guidance on NEC3 contract administration and best practices. Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and manage risk effectively. Tender Processes: Lead tender processes, including preparing financial models and cost analysis. Assess and mitigate risks in tender submissions and recommend competitive pricing strategies. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure tenders align with client requirements and company capabilities. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and clients to maintain clear communication and resolve issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other external partners. Performance Monitoring: Track project progress against budgets and schedules. Implement performance metrics and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Essential Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience as a Commercial/Contracts Manager in the construction industry. In-depth knowledge of NEC3 contracts and their practical application. Strong financial acumen, including experience with profit margins, costings, P&L, and balance sheets. Expertise in tender processes, including financial modelling and risk assessment. Excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills. Proficiency in contract law, commercial management, and financial analysis tools.

Desirable Skills: Professional qualifications such as RICS, MCIOB, or similar. Experience managing high-value contracts in a fast-paced construction environment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, or a related field.
