Aon is currently recruiting a Director / Senior Broker to join our Caribbean team in London. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office. What the day will look like This role will be primarily responsible for defending and increasing revenue and margin by developing and delivering new reinsurance opportunities as well as servicing existing clients in Bermuda, the Caribbean & Puerto Rico. How this opportunity is different Acting as an Account Executive within the broking team to provide specialist advice to the client and client team responsible for: Placement design including likely pricing, coverage enhancements, and market capacity. Negotiating the best prices and marketing drawing on existing knowledge and expertise. On-going client satisfaction, retention, and profitability. Developing and delivering new reinsurance opportunities and increasing revenue with existing clients. Leading Client Team(s) and project groups to deliver strategic growth initiatives, responses to competitive tenders and complex, high-value deals. Serving as a trusted advisor for subject matter specific issues both internally and externally. Reviewing and quality checking reinsurance documentation at a pre-determined stage in the process to establish whether the selected product accurately reflects clients' reinsurance requirements. Skills and experience that will lead to success Extensive reinsurance broking or technical and analytical underwriting experience including project and account management experience on mid to large accounts. Strong negotiation skills. Inspires commitment and action in others (both internally and externally) through strong communication skills. Considers the underwriter’s perspective to adapt approach. Invests time and resources in Research & Development to find new products/solutions to meet clients’ needs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
