Our client is a FTSE 250 listed business with an impressive pedigree within the financial services industry, operating as an agile, ambitious, and fast-growing independent professional services business of over 300 colleagues across 6 independent business lines.

They need the very best people to be the custodians of the business for the next stage of their proud history and anticipated growth. Ambitious to innovate, collaborate, and push forward in providing peace of mind and service excellence for their international clients and colleagues, they are on a journey to shape a culture they can all be proud to be part of, where everyone feels trusted, supported, and empowered to own their success.

Role Overview As part of their ambitious growth plans, there is now an opportunity to join this exciting organisation in a newly created role that is key for creating frameworks/governance for all procurement-related activity to drive value and ensure acquired services are effectively delivered across the Group.

Main Responsibilities

Establish and implement a procurement framework and third-party governance process to ensure effective sourcing, purchasing, and negotiation of goods and services necessary for the Group operations. Organize and optimize sourcing initiatives to improve the total cost and value creation of corporate services by effective supplier evaluation, selection, negotiation, implementation, and post-implementation oversight. Manage and review contractual arrangements and performance metrics at local, regional, and international levels as needed. Analyse category spending, internal budgets, market conditions, and industry insight to formulate and execute a group-wide sourcing strategy aimed at leveraging scale and coverage. Drive efficiency across business-wide spend, identifying areas where cost savings can be made without negatively impacting service delivery. Coordinate with departmental managers, senior management, general counsel, and other key stakeholders to ensure business groups are effectively linked in sourcing and negotiation efforts and develop and foster cooperative relationships throughout the organisation. Work with strategic suppliers to ensure that our commercial agreements deliver against industry best practices while adhering to local legal requirements and remaining aligned with established frameworks. Demonstrate measurable results in driving procurement value through sourcing efforts, contract negotiation/management, and subsequent supplier relationship and vendor performance management. Lead the Group's procurement activities in an enabling style, working with non-procurement colleagues to problem-solve and find commercial solutions to the issues they face. Embed a culture of commercially-led relationships with current and prospective suppliers. Champion the benefits of effective procurement across the Group, acting as an Ambassador for effective procurement.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

Stellar experience in procurement/vendor management, with a proven track record of establishing procurement processes in organisations without formal procurement structures. Experienced in contract negotiation, with an understanding of the importance of delivering service-driven commercial agreements for listed organisations and within heavily regulated environments. Degree calibre individual, ideally allied with CIPS Level 5 or above - or equivalent professional qualification. Professional, legal, financial, or technology services sector exposure would be of particular interest. Pragmatic 'hands-on' individual who recognises and is comfortable with joining at the start of this strategic procurement journey and appreciates the challenges this will present. Proven negotiation skills and commercial aptitude. Gravitas to lead beyond direct authority. High energy, resilient individual with a strong work ethic and who is result-oriented with effective influencing skills. Ability to work in a multicultural environment and deal with ambiguity and change. Diligent, analytical with excellent attention to detail without loss of pace. Ambitious and growth mindset to take on additional responsibility.

Alongside a compelling salary and bonus package, they also offer a very generous pension contribution, private medical, the ability to 'buy and sell' holidays, and a share incentive plan.
