The main purpose of this role will be to manage the Corporate Assurance Plan as part of the Risk and Assurance department to provide assurance and strategic direction to Speedy Hire and Speedy Hires Audit & Risk Committee. The

Corporate Assurance Manager

will be responsible for managing and delivering the Corporate Assurance plan as agreed by Speedy Hires Audit & Risk Committee including supporting the management of any co-sourced assurance engagements with the Head of Risk and Assurance. You will support the Head of Risk and Assurance in the development and evolution of the Corporate Assurance plan and the plan for the wider Assurance team by communicating and understanding emerging risks that arise through developing relationships within the business. Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Collaborate with the wider Assurance team to work together as one Assurance team to provide the highest quality and effective Assurance. Coach, lead and mentor Graduate Risk & Assurance Auditors to meet the full potential of their graduate programme and be a role model from whom they can learn valuable experience. Manage the follow-up of audit actions and reporting of progress to senior management and the Audit & Risk Committee. Build strong relationships with the Senior Management team and Executive Team. Prepare timely and quality reporting for the Executive Team and Audit & Risk Committee. Support in the development of internal reporting within the Assurance team. Work on ad hoc investigations as required by the business from time to time. Contribute to team activities and the delivery of the Risk and Assurance strategy to promote a valuable team culture. Support the wider Assurance team in the review and implementation of procedures aligned to the Global Internal Audit Standards. Lead like you mean it, always working as part of a complete team, win hearts and minds and drive cultural change through teamwork within your area and the wider business. Be flexible and capable of quickly adapting to change and positively support the rollout of Velocity for colleagues and external customers. Encourage a safe, positive, and professional work environment for the team and the wider business. Always demonstrate the business values. Ensure the GDPR policy is followed. Conduct additional ad hoc duties as required. Adhere to all policies and procedures. Deliver the sustainability strategy Decade to Deliver. Accountable for change management within your role, which may involve facilitating and guiding organizational transitions to ensure successful adoption of new ways of working, processes, technologies, or strategies. Develop the Company’s people capability and talent pool aligned to business goals, including the identification and development of Speedy’s future leaders through succession planning and PDRs in accordance with Speedy Career Line of sight. What you will need: Relevant professional qualification ( CCAB/CMIIA

or equivalent). Internal audit experience in delivery of internal audits from start to finish in line with the Global Internal Audit Standards. Good knowledge of Microsoft applications and use of data in auditing techniques. Effective people skills and relationship management skills. Strong team player as part of a wider audit team. Planning and organisational skills with ability to set deadlines and manage expectations. Demonstrates pragmaticism in approach to determining solutions for the business.
