Remit
Compass Associates are currently assisting in the search for an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist who specialises in Rheumatology to join our client’s team in Hemel Hemstead.
Our client is part of a private healthcare group consisting of hospitals and clinics who have previously won “Private Hospital Group of the Year” in LaingBuisson Awards. They offer a full range of medical, surgical and diagnostic services to both private and NHS patients.
The Candidate
The candidate will need to be a fully qualified, highly experienced Advanced Practice Physiotherapist with a current registration to the HCPC and CSP. This post involves working in a busy MDT outpatient centre alongside other Advanced Practice Physiotherapists, Doctors and Clinical Nurse Specialists as well as a large team of Physiotherapist.
The post holder will be supporting the community Rheumatology and MSK service to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community across Hemel Hemstead. You will provide and advise on a range of treatment options, with the personal scope of practice and competence to undertake independent prescribing and injection therapy if required by clinical area.
In addition, you will identify the need for and refer patients for investigations (including medical imaging/x-rays, blood tests and nerve conduction studies) and use the results to support diagnosis and decision-making regarding treatment options.

Monday to Friday (no weekends) Flexible between 8am – 6pm

Requirements
Chartered Physiotherapist or other suitably qualified registered healthcare professional with extensive postgraduate general Rheumatology experience Proven track record as an ESP, FCP or APP Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice, inclusive of the CSP rheumatology framework Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements. Critical understanding of personal scope of practice Postgraduate level learning relating to Physiotherapy/MSK e.G Master’s degree, Master’s level modules, or work-based learning at an equivalent level) in line with the multiprofessional framework for advanced practice.
