We are seeking an experienced and inspirational

Head of Patient Experience

to lead a dynamic team in shaping the future of patient engagement, inclusion, and care standards. Reporting to the Director of Quality Governance, you will oversee a comprehensive portfolio, including patient feedback, voluntary services, spiritual care, arts programmes, and more.

What You’ll Do:

Develop and implement a forward-thinking Patient & Carer Experience Strategy. Champion initiatives to promote patient involvement, accessibility, and inclusion. Manage the patient experience team, driving improvements in complaints handling and service delivery. Build robust partnerships with stakeholders like Healthwatch and voluntary organisations. Inspire change by embedding a culture of learning from feedback across the organisation. Lead teams across pastoral care, translation services, and arts programmes to enhance holistic patient wellbeing.

About You:

We’re looking for someone with strong leadership skills, proven experience in managing change, and a passion for patient engagement. Key qualities include:

Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Background in quality governance or senior leadership within an acute NHS setting. Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals. Expertise in managing complex data and presenting actionable insights to executive teams.

Band 8b Start-February 2025 Duration- 8 months
