Medical Expert: Patient Behaviour Change A huge proportion of ill-health, including almost half of cancer, is caused by lifestyle factors. Health professionals tell their patients how important healthy habits are, but by next appointment usually nothing has changed. We’re looking to address that, scalably and cost-effectively. Who Are We? Overcome is a UK charity (No. 1191308) providing free, one-to-one mental health support. We’ve trained 100+ graduates in behaviour change coaching, and in return, they volunteer to help people stick to behaviour changes that help them live happier, healthier lives. In mental health, we’ve done pilots with the UN, collaborated with the WHO, and are a trusted placement provider to most of the world's top 20 universities. The project We want to partner with healthcare professionals to help patients stick to the lifestyle changes they need to be healthy. We’ve got strong data for ~1000 users demonstrating efficacy, but don’t understand the healthcare system well enough to efficiently secure partnerships with clinics / hospitals / medical services. We’re looking for help navigating that process. Your role would be to figure out the best people for us to talk to, how to integrate our service with theirs, and how to manage to maximise the benefit to patients while minimising the effort for health workers.
