Job Summary

This role offers an opportunity to lead a significant healthcare project, starting on-site in January 2025. Pre-contract works are already underway, and an experienced Senior Mechanical Projects Manager is urgently required to take ownership of this critical phase. This is a permanent position with exciting, high-profile projects in the pipeline, making it ideal for a driven professional looking for a long-term opportunity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of mechanical systems for this prestigious project, ensuring timely completion, quality assurance, and compliance with healthcare standards. While experience in healthcare projects is desirable, it is not essential for the right candidate with a strong background in large-scale mechanical projects.

Key Responsibilities Oversee the full lifecycle of the £18M healthcare project, from pre-contract works to final handover. Coordinate with design, procurement, and installation teams to ensure project milestones are met. Ensure compliance with industry standards, including healthcare-specific requirements where applicable. Manage budgets, schedules, and resources, maintaining control over costs and timelines. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors. Monitor quality assurance processes and health and safety protocols. Provide leadership and mentorship to the project team, fostering collaboration and efficiency.

Skills & Experience Required Proven experience managing large-scale mechanical projects, preferably in the healthcare sector. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Proficient in project management tools and software. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications are highly desirable.
