We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative, and committed Head of Faculty - Humanities to provide day-to-day leadership for the department and be accountable for the quality of teaching, learning, and educational outcomes ensuring they are in line with the Academy’s strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day leadership for the development and management of teaching within your area.

Identify areas for development and improvement linked to the Academy improvement plan, SEF, national and local initiatives.

Develop and monitor schemes of work for your area across the academy in liaison with your department to ensure successful implementation that meets curriculum requirements and reflects student needs.

Contribute to the planning and delivery of continuous professional development and training related to your area.

Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and achievement against targets in your area.

Pay Range:

MPS £31,650.00 - £43,607.00 + TLR2b £5,834.00

Qualifications and Skills:

Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent.

Degree in subject specialism.

Ability to teach ‘good or outstanding’ lessons.

Proven successful leadership within a similar setting.

Proven successful mentoring/coaching of colleagues.
