Role Overview: This role focuses on the design and development of airframe structural systems. The selected candidates will play a critical role in optimizing structural components and ensuring their compliance with weight and balance specifications. The position requires providing skilled resources to support the completion of specific design packages.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed analysis of component weight properties, including mass, center of gravity, and inertia, to inform design improvements. Establish and manage weight targets for individual components and assemblies, monitor progress toward these targets, and identify risks or opportunities related to weight optimization. Verify calculated weights by performing physical measurements on parts, subassemblies, and components during production. Actively participate in design evaluations, weight management reviews, and discussions on potential weight reduction strategies. Work closely with interdisciplinary engineering teams to ensure structural designs achieve weight efficiency while meeting functional requirements.
