Up to SC level The Role: As a Senior RF Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development, testing, and support of RF/Microwave modules. You'll contribute your expertise across various stages of the product lifecycle and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure high-quality outcomes. Lead the development of RF equipment through internal efforts or subcontracted work packages. Maintain and improve existing RF designs, addressing product enhancements or obsolescence. Oversee requirement and specification derivation, including their verification and validation. Provide technical support to Supply Chain, Quality, Suppliers and Customers. Support external RF designs and maintain RF Production Tests. Support RF module manufacture - responding to technical issues, undertaking trend analysis and root cause analysis. Ensure adherence to engineering procedures and maintain high-quality standards throughout the design and manufacturing processes. Prepare estimates, create plans, and manage small work packages effectively. Maintain thorough and up-to-date technical documentation. What are we looking for in our next Senior RF Engineer? Expertise in PCB design at microwave frequencies, including schematic manipulation and layout review. Strong knowledge of RF component selection, including High Power RF Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, Limiters, Circulators, Filters, Mixers, and Phase-Locked Loops. Proficiency in RF system design, such as performing cascade analysis. Familiarity with RF test equipment (e.g. Spectrum Analysers, Vector Network Analysers). Experience with design for test (DFT) and design for manufacture (DFM) principles. Experience of a Production Environment (e.g. good understanding of processes such as SMT).
