Engineering Manager Position: Engineering Manager Location: Near Howden, East Yorkshire Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 (dependent on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, Days (Some weekend coverage may be required) Staff Power Group is recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Engineering Manager to join a dynamic food manufacturing client near Howden. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a small team of engineers while maintaining a proactive approach to day-to-day engineering operations. Role Overview:

As the Engineering Manager, you will take a hands-on role in overseeing the engineering team, comprising four engineers. You will ensure the smooth running of the site's electrical and mechanical systems, drive continuous improvement, and support the site's operational goals. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Oversee and maintain site equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Deliver hands-on electrical and mechanical support as required. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to improve reliability and reduce breakdowns. Support health and safety compliance within the engineering department. Liaise with other departments to ensure engineering support meets operational needs. Assist in capital projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Manage engineering budgets effectively and source cost-effective solutions for maintenance and repairs. Essential Skills and Experience:

Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector. Strong electrical bias with practical hands-on skills. Experience leading and developing small teams. Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and techniques. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering). Familiarity with health and safety regulations in manufacturing environments. Why Join?
