Job Purpose: The Gas Team Leader will oversee the installation of gas infrastructure, both on and off-site, ensuring the work is conducted to high safety and technical standards. The role involves leading a team, managing resources, and maintaining compliance with all industry regulations and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Commissioning:

Safely install and commission gas infrastructure, ensuring all work follows specific method statements, work procedures, and safety instructions. Team Leadership:

Manage and direct a team, ensuring tasks are completed to high standards of safety and efficiency. Safety Compliance:

Perform daily site-specific risk assessments and maintain a safe working environment by wearing and enforcing the use of PPE. Material and Equipment Management:

Accept delivery of materials, ensuring they are fit for purpose. Oversee the condition of vehicles, plant, and equipment, reporting defects to the Project Manager. Variation Reporting:

Identify and report contract variations early to the Project Manager and follow the company's Variation and Deviations Procedure. Competency:

Act as a Competent Person for ROs and NROs, if assessed as competent. Documentation:

Accurately record work details for reporting and invoicing, ensuring timely submission of relevant paperwork. Toolbox Talks & Training:

Attend regular safety talks and participate in relevant training sessions to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills. Essential Qualifications and Experience:

GN02 for Main Laying / Service Laying (or equivalent). Full UK driving license. NRSWA certificate for operatives. Gas Network Safety Passport (SHEA). Manual handling. Operating pneumatic equipment and mechanical excavators up to 10T. Experience working on development sites and public highways. Understanding of utility plans and their application in site works.
