Do you want to be the senior figure within the inspection department and work on the latest software and CMM machines? Look no further. This position will be very hands-on, helping to program and inspect parts daily, while also being the go-to figure in the team to offer your expertise to other inspectors. It is a fast-moving, busy subcontractor with a great variety of parts coming out of the machine shop into the inspection department.
The Job: As a Chief Quality Inspector, you will help with the increased workload in the inspection department. The role will involve quality checking a variety of metallic parts, including first-off inspection and final inspection before sending them out to various customers. The work can be varied, as they are a subcontractor, so can include anything from one-offs to small batch runs.
You will be overseeing a team of 2 quality inspectors alongside your hands-on duties, giving you full control of the inspection department and the opportunity to make it your own. The role is also a Monday to Friday position with no shift work required.
The Company: They are an established subcontract manufacturer who has undergone a revamp in recent years and have earned a great reputation within the industry for their work. As a business, they have some ambitious growth plans, in which the quality team plays a key role in achieving those targets.
