Permanent Contract | £36,124 to £37,938 per annum (Scale I) | 37 hours per week | Norwich We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Highway Compliance Engineer role within the Highway Network and Digital Innovation Team based at County Hall in Norwich (hybrid remote working), working within a team dedicated to improving the safety, comfort, and environment of our highway network for Norfolk residents. This will include assisting with the delivery of the day-to-day operations of our bus lane enforcement cameras, as well as the introduction of new Moving Traffic Enforcement sites and delivery of Blue Badge misuse enforcement activities, ensuring that robust processes are in place to deliver a consistent and effective enforcement service. You will be required to investigate operational issues and carry out routine, proactive inspections of traffic enforcement sites, ensuring the rectification of identified defects in a timely fashion. The successful candidate will need relevant experience in a technical role. Ideally, you will have a good understanding of the Highways Act, Traffic Management Act, and Traffic Signs and General Directions Regulations, although this is not essential as suitable training will be provided.
