We are seeking a

Principal Environmental Consultant

to lead EIA projects for renewable energy initiatives, including onshore wind, solar, and energy storage schemes. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of green energy while advancing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

EIA Project Leadership:

Manage all aspects of the EIA process, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements. Client Engagement:

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance and building strong relationships. Technical Oversight:

Review and contribute to environmental assessments, technical reports, and supporting documentation. Team Management:

Mentor and support junior consultants, fostering their professional growth. Stakeholder Liaison:

Coordinate with regulators, stakeholders, and local communities to ensure project success. Business Development:

Contribute to the development of proposals and tenders, helping to grow the consultancy's EIA portfolio.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience delivering EIA projects, ideally within the renewable energy sector. Strong knowledge of UK planning and environmental legislation, including the Town and Country Planning Act and Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations. Expertise in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and engage with stakeholders effectively. Chartered status or eligibility for chartership with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIEEM, IEMA). A degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for sustainability.
