Project Engineer

to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent, and the preferred location is in Havant, but also hybrid working arrangements are possible. What you will be doing Project management and technical specification, configuration, and support activities for externally manufactured electro/mechanical products. On-time delivery and correct quality of product manufacture and support data for above products. Project monitoring and recording changes. Compliance with Export Control requirements. Time management and general organisational skills. Develop knowledge base of product specification and integration within the wider team. Work well within the Engineering and the wider WDSL team. Mentor junior members of the team. As Project Engineer your work will focus on these responsibilities: Lead and coordinate Engineering projects. Ensure compliance with specific codes. Ensure adherence to the Engineering Business Management System (BMS) and the overall company BMS. Work closely with the Systems and the Design teams to create requirements capture and other relevant documentation for a project. Ensure that changes are recorded according to the BMS. Liaise with the main project stakeholders, internal and external. Delegate tasks to the team, work closely with the Project Manager and the Engineering Managers. Coordinate multidiscipline projects (Mechanical / Electrical). Mentor junior members of staff. Work harmoniously with other company functions. Maintain compliance with all relevant data control requirements. Be prepared to visit clients or suppliers at short notice. To be successful in this role we expect you to have: Degree BEng (Hons) in Mechanical, Electrical, Naval, Chemical, Aerospace, or other Engineering or Scientific disciplines (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computing). CEng or working towards. Working experience in the field of Engineering especially Mechanical and Electrical. Other relevant industry experience will be considered. Mid-Senior Level position. Must be eligible for SC level clearance. In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you are ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually. Why you and us?
